This decision came, according to an official statement from the Football Association, after his colleague, Ahmed Fattouh, was exposed to “a health problem with a high temperature and was subjected to medical observation under the supervision of Dr. Muhammad Abu Al-Ela despite the negative survey.”
The Football Association stated, “The technical staff preferred to thank the player due to the lack of time and the connection of the national team to two matches against Kenya and Comoros, and the player’s need for several days to rest and recover.”
He concluded, “It is worth noting that the player did not participate in the training of the national team yesterday, Sunday, at the beginning of the gathering, after isolating the player in his room, hoping to recover from the cold that he suffered before the start of the camp.”
Jumaa has 4 international matches with the Egyptian national team.
