With the start of the new year, we are all hoping to lose weight, but how does that happen? .. The answer often lies in science.
Losing weight always depends on how much you eat and how much you move, however, there are a few supplements that can help make your weight loss journey a little easier, according to the British newspaper “express”.
Fiber is a carbohydrate found in plant foods like fruits, vegetables, and whole grains /, unlike other carbohydrates, it is not easily digested by the body, so it passes quickly through the system without causing a spike in blood sugar.
All fruits and vegetables contain fiber, but it is mostly concentrated in the skin, seeds and membranes. The fiber can be extracted and converted into fiber supplements.
Fiber also plays an essential role in helping to regulate an individual’s appetite as it helps you feel full for a longer time to reduce the amount of food and snacks one might consume.
In a study published in the US National Library of Medicine and conducted by the National Institutes of Health, fiber supplements were analyzed and how they might affect weight loss.
The study looked at overweight women who were given either a placebo or a fiber supplement, and the study concluded that the group that took the fiber supplement lost a significant amount of weight compared to the placebo group.
“In addition to controlling weight, high-fiber diets can also help prevent type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease,” said Dr. Frank Hu, professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School.
Caffeine is one of the most commonly consumed psychoactive substances in the world, enjoyed by millions.
Caffeine is found naturally in coffee, green tea, and dark chocolate, and it can also be taken as a supplement.
Caffeine is the beverage of choice when it comes to boosting your metabolism and thus is often added to weight loss supplements.
Some studies suggest that caffeine supplementation can have an effect on weight loss.In a study published in the American Journal of Physiology, the effects of caffeine intake on fat oxidation and energy were analyzed in younger and older men.
“Age-related differences in energy expenditure, lipid oxidation, and norepinephrine motility after caffeine ingestion were examined using a placebo-controlled study in 10 older men and 10 young men who were moderate consumers of caffeine,” the study said.
The fat oxidation rates did not differ significantly from the baseline values in either group, and in conclusion, the older and younger men showed a similar response to heat when consuming caffeine, while the older men showed a lesser increase in the availability of fatty acids after consuming caffeine.
There are many different solutions for losing weight including all kinds of pills, medications, and natural supplements.
It is said to help you lose weight, or at least make it easier to lose weight with other methods.
The mechanisms of many of these weight loss supplements lie in their ability to reduce appetite, reduce absorption, or their ability to increase fat burning.
