Complementing the national polio vaccination campaign that began last February, and in implementation of the instructions of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, and Dr. Hala Zayed, Minister of Health and Population.
Dr. Sawsan Salam, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Kafr El Sheikh, followed up the directorate’s preparations for the implementation of the second phase of the campaign, which is scheduled to be held on March 28 for a period of four days. The Azhar region and the churches sponsors in Kafr El-Sheikh, it also included the General Director of the Electricity Company, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Irrigation, and the Rapporteur of the National Center for Women.
Salam explained that the number of children targeted by the campaign is 543,782 children at the level of Kafr El-Sheikh governorate, from one day to five years old, and the 1,245 teams have been trained on vaccination work.
Salam stressed the commitment to preventive measures, social distancing and all precautionary measures.
She said that she chaired a previous preparatory meeting with the directors of health departments to develop an action plan and prepare for the campaign, stressing the arrival of vaccination for every child in the age group of the campaign and the speed of overcoming the difficulties and obstacles that the mobile teams may face.
