Goash Onyango, a defender of the Kenya national team and a professional in the ranks of the Tanzanian team Simba, sent several messages, most notably Mohamed Salah, before the Kenyan team faced its Egyptian counterpart.
The Egyptian national team is scheduled to play outside Kenya, next Thursday, as part of the fifth round of African Nations Cup qualifiers, which will be held in Cameroon.
Onyango said in statements via the Kenyan newspaper “capitalfm”, today, Wednesday: “I look forward to the challenge of facing Mohamed Salah.”
He added: “They bring Mohamed Salah, Salah is a great player in Liverpool and the English Premier League. I want to evaluate myself against the best in the world.”
The Kenya defender continued his statements: “Most of the Egyptian team is Al-Ahly players, and after I faced them and beat them, my confidence is high and I feel enthusiastic, and for me I do not feel any pressure.”
And Onyango had previously faced with his team Simba his counterpart Al-Ahly in the second round of the group stage of the African Champions League competition, and the match ended with a score (1-0) in favor of the Tanzanian champion.
On the international level, the Egyptian team tops the Group G ranking with 8 points, equal to the Comoros national team, on the other hand, Kenya is ranked third with three points, and finally Togo with a point.
