Journalist Khaled Al-Ghandour attacked the Al-Ahly club’s board of directors, after adhering to the evacuation of the Zamalek hall from some of the attendees in the two teams’ basketball league match, headed by Mahmoud Shikabala.
Al-Ghandour said on the Zamalek TV screen: “Kindness is not beneficial with Al-Ahly’s administration. Major General Imad Abdel Aziz appealed in the name of all Zamalek to reject fanaticism, but the Red Club and its management do not like this sportsmanship.”
He continued: “What is Al-Ahly’s problem with Shikabala? The player is inside the hall of his club, in which he grew up and plays in his name?”
He continued: “The Basketball Association applies double standards, and only Zamalek are punished, and not other clubs, despite the presence of their fans.”
And he ended his statements: “Al-Ahly does not want to apply sportsmanship, and the crisis was not with Mortada Mansour, so the former president of Zamalek left his post and the intransigence of Al-Ahly’s management continued.”
