The football team at Zamalek club continued its preparations for the Mouloudia Algeria match, scheduled for next Saturday evening, in the fifth round of the group stage of the African Champions League competition.
The duo, Ahmed Hossam “Mido” and Hazem Imam, the former Zamalek players, were keen to hold a session with the team’s players after the end of Wednesday’s training, in the presence of the technical staff led by French Patrice Carteron.
The duo motivated the players and asked them to make every effort to win over Mouloudia and preserve the team’s chances of running in the Champions League, because they play for a large entity the size of Zamalek Club.
The team’s mission is scheduled to travel to Algeria tomorrow evening, Thursday, following the final training session to be held at the Abd al-Latif Abu Rujaila stadium.
On the other hand, Mahmoud Abdel Razek “Shikabala” performed special training in the gymnasium, after he participated in part of the group training session.
Ferjani Sassi also underwent special physical training under the supervision of Portuguese coach Fernando, on the sidelines of the team’s collective training.
The coaching staff preferred to go through physical training and not participate in the final technical training.
Zamalek is seeking to achieve its first victory in the group stage, after losing to Esperance, back and forth, and tied by a negative result against MCA and Senegalese Twinget.
Zamalek is in third place with two points, on the other hand Esperance tops the standings with ten points, then Mouloudia Algeria with 8 points.
In order to rise, Zamalek needs to win the two matches of Mouloudia, then Twinget, in exchange for the loss of the Algerian champion in the last match against Esperance.
