Zamalek club announced, in an official statement, its rejection of the decisions issued by the Basketball Association regarding the events of the team’s match against Al-Ahly, which was canceled on Monday, adding that it will take all steps to preserve the rights of the club.
The attendance of the fans in the covered hall of the Zamalek club caused the cancellation of the Zamalek and Al-Ahly match in the Egyptian Basketball League.
Today, Tuesday, the Egyptian Basketball Federation announced the decisions taken by its side regarding Zamalek’s confrontation with Al-Ahly (See the details).
Zamalek responds with a statement on its official website, which reads as follows:
The committee in charge of managing the Zamalek club, headed by Major General Counselor Emad Abdel Aziz, rejects the decisions issued by the Basketball Federation regarding the events of the Zamalek and Al-Ahly match that did not take place at the Zamalek club yesterday, Monday.
The committee demands that Al-Ahly club be considered the cause of the failure to complete the match, for its failure to play the match and the application of the regulations to it, and to consider Zamalek as the winner of the match result.
The committee also rejects the decision to transfer a match for the team outside a club game.
Finally, the committee rejects the financial fine imposed on the club without justification.
In another context, the committee affirms that it will take all steps to ensure the preservation of the club’s rights.
