Osama Rabie, head of the Suez Canal Authority, said that for the first time in the world, a large-sized aground ship was rescued and floated without unloading its cargo, just as Egypt did with the delinquent ship in the Suez Canal.

Rabie added, during a telephone interview with the “On My Responsibility” program broadcast on the “Echo of the Country” channel today, Monday, that Egypt was able to preserve the ship and its cargo until it was 100% floated today, pointing out that the third scenario for resolving the delinquent ship crisis in the canal was: Unloading.

He added that unloading the cargo of the ship was difficult for its length of 400 meters and containing 15 thousand containers, noting that 113 ships would cross the Suez Canal from both directions today until tomorrow morning.
