According to Spanish media reports, Real Madrid intends to offer 8 of its players for sale during the next summer transfer period, in order to save money to conclude a heavy deal.
The newspaper “ABC” said, Real Madrid will be forced to sell a large number of its players before it is able to conclude a great deal next summer, with a future goal of ten years.
She explained that Real is planning to sign one of the duo, the star of Paris Saint-Germain, French Kylian Mbappe, or the top scorer of Borussia Dortmund, the Norwegian Erlen Haaland.
The newspaper pointed out that the royal team needed 200 million euros to buy Haaland or Mbappe, but before completing any deal, the “Merengue” would have to sell some of its players to provide the required amount.
The report added that the Real Madrid administration is considering putting up 8 players for sale next summer, namely Gareth Bale, Isco, Alvaro Odriozola, Mariano Diaz, Danny Ceballos, Borja Mayoral, Luca Jovic and Marcelo.
Mbappe, 22, does not want to stay for several more years in Paris Saint-Germain, in light of his refusal to renew his contract, which expires next year, and his wish is to move to Real Madrid, where he can become the best player in the world.
As for Haaland, 20, who had previously sent several letters to Real Madrid officials indicating his desire to wear the “Merengue” shirt, he has a contract with Dortmund that extends until 2023.
Some reports claim that there is a penalty clause in his contract with Dortmund worth 75 million euros, but it cannot be activated before the summer of 2022.
