Cristiano Ronaldo, the Italian Juventus player and the Portuguese national team, is preparing to play 3 matches with his country in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers, which will be held in Qatar.
The Portuguese national team plays 3 matches against the national teams of Azerbaijan, Serbia and Luxembourg on the 24th, 27th and 30th of this March.
And the Portuguese star sets a goal during the current international suspension, which is equivalent to Iran’s Ali Daei number in the number of international goals with the national team.
Ronaldo has a total of 102 goals scored in the 170 international matches he has played for Portugal since the start of his Portuguese career in 2003.
The Portuguese Don needs 7 goals to equal the number of the Iranian striker, who has 109 goals, scored in 149 international matches.
Iranian star Ali Daei commented on Ronaldo’s approach to equaling his record, saying: “I will congratulate him immediately. Ronaldo has scored 102 goals with Portugal so far and he will definitely break my number, but he still has to score seven goals.”
The Iranian star concluded, “It is an honor for me to break a player in his record-setting record. Ronaldo is one of the greatest players not only in this era, but at all, it is a real phenomenon.”
