European reports said today, Wednesday, that Barcelona has signed Manchester City’s Eric Garcia for five seasons.
Garcias contract with City is set to expire at the end of the season, with the 20-year-old having no intention of renewing his contract.
According to the Catalan newspaper “Sport”, Barcelona has already signed with Garcia for 5 seasons, after the Blaugrana agreed to the personal conditions of the young Spanish player.
Sport stated that Garcia had already made his decision to leave City since the beginning of the current season, but he was not sure of joining Barcelona, especially after the change in the administrative situation within the Catalan club.
She added that Garcia had already received offers from various clubs – including Chelsea and Arsenal – but he was unwilling to negotiate with any club amid his desire to return to Barcelona.
The Catalan newspaper indicated that the official announcement of Garcias accession deal to Barcelona may take place within the next month.
It is worth noting that Garcia is a youngster from the “La Masia” academy and moved to the Manchester City Under-18 ranks at the start of the 17/18 season, and then promoted to the Sky League first team at the start of the 19/20 season.
