The Italian newspaper “La Gazzetta dello Sport” said that Senegalese Calido Coulibaly, the Napoli player, is close to leaving his team during the upcoming summer transfer window.
The Senegalese international was on the verge of leaving Naples last year, amid concerns from Manchester United, Manchester City and France’s Paris Saint-Germain, but the financial exaggeration of Aurelio de Laurenti, president of Napoli, and his demand for 80 million euros prevented the deal from being completed.
According to the Italian newspaper, the 29-year-old may be one of the departures of Naples during the next summer Mercato, to try to compensate for the Italian team’s financial losses resulting from the Corona pandemic.
La Gazzetta claimed that Coulibaly’s marketing value has decreased by 50 million euros.
Coulibaly arrived in Naples in July 2014 from Genk, Belgium, and his contract is due to expire at the end of June 2023.
The Senegalese international participated with his team this season in 7 European League matches and 20 Italian League matches.
