Dr. Mahmoud Shaheen, Director of the Center for Weather Analysis and Forecasts at the General Authority of Meteorology, said that the state of instability in the atmosphere continues, as the winds spread to Cairo and caused a decrease in horizontal visibility on the roads, especially on highways, open and desert roads.
Shaheen explained, during a telephone interview on the “Sabahak Masri” program, broadcast on MBC Egypt, that the weather fluctuations will continue until the end of today, Tuesday, and that the weather will start to improve from tomorrow, Wednesday.
He added: “The wind activity will continue tomorrow, Wednesday, in most parts, and dust and sand will continue to stir up the governorates of Lower Egypt and areas of northern and southern Upper Egypt, and may reach the threshold of a storm, with which the horizontal visibility decreases to less than 1000 meters in areas of northern Upper Egypt governorates.”
He explained that the temperature will witness a significant decrease from tomorrow, Wednesday, as it is expected that the temperature will be 22 degrees Celsius, and then decrease again on Thursday and Friday, as the temperature drop during the next 48 hours ranges between 8 to 10 degrees Celsius at most Governorates of the Republic.
