The Saudi ambassador in Cairo offers good news to Egyptians working in the Kingdom regarding visas and residency

This came after receiving the State Ministry of Immigration and Affairs Egyptians abroadMany appeals and help from Egyptian citizens working in the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, who are in Egypt at the present time, and cannot return to their work in the Kingdom due to the suspension of air traffic in Saudi Arabia, as part of measures to confront the Corona virus, as well as the imminent end of their stay there.
Ambassador Nabila Makram was quoted To the Saudi ambassador All appeals and help that the Ministry of Immigration received during the last period, regarding the imminent end of the period of their residency in the Kingdom, and in this regard, the Saudi ambassador confirmed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will extend the period of visas and residency in light of the suspension of air traffic in the Kingdom.

For her part, the Minister of Immigration thanked the Saudi ambassador and the authorities and officials in Saudi Arabia for issuing a decision on extending visas and residency for Egyptians working in the Kingdom to facilitate the Egyptian labor.

She indicated that the Kingdom’s sovereignty and its decisions are respected in light of the precautionary measures it is taking to confront the spread of the Corona pandemic, stressing the strength of the bilateral relations between Egypt and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the leadership and people.

And the Minister of Immigration called upon Egyptian citizens working in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia not to follow the rumors regarding announcing the date of the return of air traffic in Saudi Arabia, without waiting for an official announcement of that from the Kingdom, and thus not responding to the calls calling for payment of money to return so that they are not subjected to fraud, confirming that until now Saudi Arabia has not issued any new decisions regarding the return of air traffic.

Ambassador Nabila Makram also called on citizens wishing to return to their work in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to calm and wait until the Kingdom issues a decision to return to flight, and it will be announced through the official authorities, and they will be informed of it as soon as it is issued.
