Giuseppe Yacini returned to the position of coach of Italian club Fiorentina, after Cesare Prandelli resigned on Tuesday from the position he took over from Liaquini earlier this season.
“Fiorentina can announce the return of Baby Yakini to take over the responsibility of the first team,” the club said in a statement on its website today.
Yakini was sacked last November, after leading the team in seven games during the season.
Yakini played for Fiorentina between 1989 and 1994, and took over as coach of the team in December 2019, succeeding Vincenzo Montella.
Prandelli announced his resignation, citing the “severe ordeal” that he is going through.
Fiorentina are ranked 14th in the Italian league, seven points behind the nearest relegation centers, ten stages before the end of the competition.
