Al-Ahly club channel criticized the decision of Hossam El-Badry, the coach of the Egyptian national team, regarding the departure of Ayman Ashraf, the left defender of the team, with the team’s mission to Kenya.
Egypt is preparing for a match against Kenya on Thursday in the fifth round of the qualifiers for the next African nations.
Ayman Ashraf left the team with the national team suffering from knee pain, and a source in Al-Ahly said at Leela Koura, that there is a state of anxiety for the player.
Journalist Ahmed Samir, presenter of the “Sixth” program, via Al-Ahly Club, said that there are many question marks about Al-Badri’s insistence on Ayman Ashraf traveling with the Egyptian national team mission.
“Everyone knows that there is a crisis on the left side of the Al-Ahly club due to the injury of Ali Maaloul as well as Mahmoud Waheed, and Ayman Ashraf is the only option before Musimani,” he said.
He continued, “Ayman played against Vita Club and was incomplete recovery after receiving painkillers, and he was unable to complete the match. He played because there was no substitute for him in this position, but the matter is different for the Egyptian team, as there are alternatives.”
He added, “Al-Ahly has an important and fateful match against Al-Merrikh in the Sudanese Champions League after the international suspension, and Al-Ahly notified the team’s technical staff that the player was injured, and Al-Badri insisted on his presence in the national team camp for medical examination.”
Al-Ahly stressed, “Al-Ahly is always the first to support the national teams at any time, and Ayman Ashraf has fully complied and undergone a full medical examination, and the Egyptian team’s medical apparatus made sure that the player was injured, and therefore it was natural to be excluded.”
He continued, “But there was an insistence on involving the player in the training of the national team in the previous days, despite his inability to complete these training. There are many question marks, and there are doubts about an intention to obstruct Al-Ahly’s march.”
He stressed, “Al-Ahly suffers from injuries, and he informed the team that Ayman Ashraf was injured, and the team was confirmed, and in the end the player was taken to Kenyas trip. It is incomprehensible. Why is there stubbornness and stalking?”
He concluded, “We learned that there are players who verbally informed the team of injury and suffering from stress without signing a medical examination for them, and they traveled on hiking trips and returned without any problems.”
