Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge denied reports about the Bavarian club’s efforts to include Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland.

Rummenigge said in statements to “Sport Bild” magazine published on Wednesday that the club does not need a Norwegian player in light of the fact that Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski is living “the height of his career.”

Rummenigge added, “I don’t know where the rumors are coming from, I can just say that we have the best player in the world in this position.”

He concluded: “Robert Lewandowski has a contract until 2023. I am sure it will not be the end, given his professionalism.”

It is worth noting that Lewandowski was injured recently and was confirmed to be absent from Bayern Munich for 4 weeks.
