South African coach Pitso Musimani, Al-Ahly coach, ended the crisis of his player, Mahmoud Kahraba, the left wing of the team, during the last training that took place at Mukhtar Altech Stadium before traveling to Sudan.
The Red Mission arrived in Sudan in preparation for facing Al-Merrikh in the fifth round of the first group of African Champions League competitions.
Sayed Abdel Hafeez, director of football, announced that Mahmoud Kahraba today apologized to Pizzo Mosimani in the presence of the coaching staff and the players, and added that Mahmoud Kahraba will organize the team’s collective training after the Sudanese match between Al-Merrikh.
A source at Al-Ahly revealed in exclusive statements at Layla Koura, that Mahmoud Kahraba had said in a session with the team before the start of the training: “I apologize to all of you … to the technical staff, to Betsu Musimani, the coach, to you my fellow players, to Mr. Abdel Hafeez, the football director and to the Al-Ahly club.
He added that the player also said: “I made a mistake in all of you, in my right to myself. I promise you to open a new page and not to repeat the matter again.”
He explained that Pitso Musimani responded to the player’s words during the same session: “We accepted your apology, and we opened a new page with you. The opportunity is in front of you. You are a good and important player for us and you will have a role in the coming period, provided you are fully committed and you are a member of the team.”
After that session, the team and the technical staff were keen to celebrate the return of Kahraba, in particular, to the group exercises before the start of the training session.
Kahraba had entered into a severe crisis after the Al-Ahly and Al-Jaish match that was held on February 28 in the league competition, and he was suspended for a month and a fine of 200 thousand pounds.
