Hussein Al-Samri, a member of the Executive Committee of Zamalek Club, responded to the attack on the Council after the decision to return Patrice Carteron to lead the team again.
Al-Samri said in remarks on the “Zamalek” screen in the early hours of Monday morning: “The contract with Carteron after his escape? What Pacheco did not escape.”
He continued: “Losing points in the CAF Champions League and losing points in the league competition were among the reasons for the dismissal of Pacheco.”
And he continued: “The fans would have demanded the dismissal of Pacheco if they did not win against Esperance, and one of the reasons for contracting with Carteron is to teach him every little and every major atmosphere of the team.”
He ended: “The current committee is wronged because of its lack of a sports background, and life was not rosy for us.”
The current Zamalek management decided, after the Ceramica Cleopatra match, to dismiss the Portuguese coach, Jaime Pacheco, from his post, with the return of French Patrice Carteron to lead the team.
Carteron’s start was not perfect after losing to Tunisias Esperance, with a goal without reply, so that Zamalek scored two points in third place, on the other hand, within the “Bab Souika” team, qualifying for the next round.
Zamalek need to get six points in the last two matches of the group stage, by defeating MCA, then Senegalese Twinget, with the Algerian champion losing in the last round against Esperance.
