The Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population has identified people at risk of high blood pressure and provided a prescription for them.
The ministry said that the people most at risk of developing high blood pressure are people with certain diseases such as diabetics, cholesterol and kidney patients.
And the ministry continued, in an awareness leaflet, that people who eat a lot of salt in food and some pregnant women are exposed to high blood pressure, as well as those who reduce their intake of foods rich in vitamin D.
She added that people prone to high blood pressure are people who reduce potassium intake in food, and are exposed to psychological and nervous reactions, smokers, and the injury of a parent and the elderly.
