A source in Al-Ahly Laila Kora: We did not ask for the summit to be postponed

A source in Al-Ahly club confirmed that the Red Castle administration did not request the postponement of the summit match against Zamalek, scheduled for next May 10 at Cairo Stadium in the Premier League competition.

A source, who declined to be named, said in exclusive statements to Laila Kora, that the club’s soccer system did not ask for a postponement of the summit match in any way.

He added that Al-Ahly did not address the idea of asking for the summit match to be postponed, despite the terrible pressure in the succession of matches and the size of injuries.

Days ago, Al-Ahly defeated its counterpart Zamalek in the summit match, with two goals for one goal, scored by Al-Ahly, Mohamed Sharif, and Zamalek Shikabala.

After Zamalek’s victory over El Entag El Harby, the team moved away from the top of the league standings from its closest competitors after raising its score to 36 points, but Al-Ahly played 3 games less than its runners-up in the last version, as the red team has 30 points.
