The Egyptian Football Association intends to appoint a special security guard (Body Guard), to secure the safety of the star of the “Pharaohs” and Liverpool FC, Mohamed Salah, according to a local newspaper.
Salah was surprised that dozens of fans descended on the ground of the “Cairo Stadium”, as soon as the whistle blew at the end of the Egyptian national team match with the Comoros, which was held last Monday, in the qualifiers for the African Nations Championship, to take memorial photos with him, while one of them wanted to kiss him.
This angered Mo Salah, who tried to get away from them, before running quickly to the dressing rooms.
The Egyptian newspaper “Al-Watan” quoted an unnamed official source in the Egyptian Federation, saying that the latter “is studying the possibility of providing private security for Mohamed Salah and his professional colleagues.”
He explained that the private security “will take over the task of protecting them (professionals) and keeping the fans away from them after the end of the matches, within the framework of the controls that will be imposed during the upcoming matches of the national team.”
He continued, “Salah is very angry about the incident, and he fears that he will be infected with the Corona virus, which will cause him a crisis with his English club Liverpool.”
Former Egyptian media and players, including Wael Gomaa and Ahmed Hossam “Mido”, criticized Salah for not securing Salah in the African Nations Cup qualifiers, against the backdrop of the fans wrapping around him after the conclusion of the Comoros match, in which the “Pharaohs” won by four clean.
Salah scored two goals from the quartet, to bring the “Pharaohs” team to the top of his group, after securing climbing to the African Nations Cup finals scheduled in Cameroon early next year, after tying with Kenya in the last round with a goal for each of them.
