Sayed Eid, the technical director of Al-Nasr club, confirmed that his team is preparing to play the Al-Ahly match, to provide a good performance, indicating that he will impose strong control on the keys to playing the red team.
Al-Nasr will meet his Al-Ahly counterpart in the 32nd round of the Egypt Cup, next Wednesday.
In statements to reporters, Eid said, “I instructed the players to go through training seriously and focus in preparation for Al-Ahly and to perform well in front of the Egyptian and African champions.”
He added, “Al-Nasr will participate in the meeting with the aim of providing a good performance for fun and presenting an honorable image to Al-Nasr Club. My players are performing strongly against the big teams.”
Sayed Eid added, “I was hoping to hold the match in Cairo due to the advent of the month of Ramadan and the presence of the two teams in the same governorate, so as not to tire players from traveling because of fasting.”
And he continued: “The exercises witness focus on defensive positions, closing spaces, man-to-man defense, and imposing strong control over the keys to Al-Ahly’s play.”
“We are trying to equip the duo, Hamouda Samir, captain of the defense line, and Ahmed Dahesh, the left-back, returning from injury, in order to rely on them mainly in the match,” Al-Nasr coach concluded.
