The Brazilian Ministry of Health has called on women to delay pregnancy as much as possible to avoid the risks associated with the Coronavirus.
An official at the Ministry of Health said that the new versions of the virus have more severe symptoms in pregnant women, acknowledging at the same time that there are no national or international studies in this regard.
He pointed out that earlier, severe symptoms were noticed in the final stage of pregnancy, but now the dangerous situation is monitored during the second trimester and even in the first trimester.
He added that the Ministry of Health has recommended pregnant women who are most at risk of contracting the Coronavirus, to receive an anti-virus vaccine, and now it is considering expanding those recommendations to include all pregnant women.
