French Carteron, coach of the first football team at Zamalek, expressed his happiness over the victory over Mouloudia in the fifth round of the group stage of the African Champions League.

The technical director said at the press conference: “I am very proud of the players’ performance in today’s meeting, and we had two weeks to prepare and the technical staff focused on the technical, psychological and physical aspects before the match.”

Carteron stressed that his team won a difficult match against Mouloudia, and Zamalek was higher in the match than the Algerian team, and added that he knows that the opportunity for Zamalek to rise is not in the hands of his team, but he will play to win in the last match, and is waiting for the result of the Esperance and Mouloudia meeting.

He explained that if Zamalek did not rise in the event of victory in the next match, the performance would help the team in the league, and stressed that stopping Sami Frio, the Mouloudia striker, made Zamalek’s task easy in today’s match, adding that this striker was dangerous and could score goals.

Carteron assured that Mouloudia has a better chance to ascend; Because Zamalek before today’s match, he had only two points, but he won.
