The Egyptian Dar Al Iftaa received several questions related to “breaking the fast” in the blessed month of Ramadan, during a live broadcast that the house conducted today on its official Facebook page, including a question that reads: “Does hooking the wife and kissing her during the day in Ramadan break the fast? ».

And Sheikh Mahmoud Shalaby, secretary of the fatwa at the Egyptian Dar Al Ifta, answered the question, saying: “It is disliked and a person has to stay away from it because if it results in ejaculation, it spoils his fast.”

In detail of the fatwa, the Egyptian Dar Al Iftaa published earlier on its website an answer to a question that read: “What is the ruling on a husband kissing his wife during the day in Ramadan?”, Saying: “Kissing a wife with the intention of pleasure is disliked for the fasting person among the majority of jurists Because of the corruption of the fast that may lead to him, and the qiblah is forbidden if he thinks it most likely to be revealed with it, and kissing is not disliked if it is not without the intention of pleasure. Like intending mercy or farewell, unless the fasting person does not possess himself, and if he owns himself, there is no blame on him. The Egyptian Dar Al Iftaa continued: “Imam Al-Nawawi said in Al-Majmoo ‘Sharh Al-Muhadhdhab (6/355): [قال المصنف: تُكْرَهُ الْقُبْلَةُ عَلَى مَنْ حَرَّكَتْ شَهْوَتَهُ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ، وَلَا تُكْرَهُ لِغَيْرِهِ، لَكِنَّ الْأَوْلَى تَرْكُهَا، وَلَا فَرْقَ بَيْنَ الشَّيْخِ وَالشَّابِّ فِى ذَلِكَ؛ فَالِاعْتِبَارُ بِتَحْرِيكِ الشَّهْوَةِ وَخَوْفِ الْإِنْزَالِ، فَإِنْ حَرَّكَتْ شَهْوَةَ شَابٍّ أَوْ شَيْخٍ قَوِى كُرِهَتْ، وَإِنْ لَمْ تُحَرِّكْهَا لِشَيْخٍ أَوْ شَابٍّ ضَعِيفٍ لَمْ تُكْرَهْ، وَالْأَوْلَى تَرْكُهَا، وَسَوَاءٌ قَبَّلَ الْخَدَّ أَوْ الْفَمَ أَوْ غَيْرَهُمَا، وَهَكَذَا الْمُبَاشَرَةُ بِالْيَدِ وَالْمُعَانَقَةُ لَهُمَا حُكْمُ الْقُبْلَةِ، ثُمَّ الْكَرَاهَةُ فِى حَقِّ مَنْ حَرَّكَتْ شهوته كراهة تحريم عند المنصف وشيخه القاضى أبى الطيب والعبدرى وَغَيْرِهِمْ، وَقَالَ آخَرُونَ: كَرَاهَةُ تَنْزِيهٍ مَا لَمْ يُنْزِلْ، وَصَحَّحَهُ الْمُتَوَلِّي. قَالَ الرَّافِعِى وَغَيْرُهُ: الْأَصَحُّ كَرَاهَةُ تَحْرِيمٍ، وَإِذَا قَبَّلَ وَلَمْ يُنْزِلْ لَمْ يَبْطُلْ صَوْمُهُ بِلَا خِلَافٍ عِنْدَنَا، سَوَاءٌ قُلْنَا كَرَاهَةُ تَحْرِيمٍ أَوْ تَنْزِيهٍ. فَرْعٌ فِى مَذَاهِبِ الْعُلَمَاءِ فِى الْقُبْلَةِ لِلصَّائِمِ، ذَكَرْنَا أَنَّ مَذْهَبَنَا كَرَاهَتُهَا لِمَنْ حَرَّكَتْ شَهْوَتَهُ، وَلَا تُكْرَهُ لِغَيْرِهِ، وَالْأَوْلَى تَرْكُهَا، فَإِنْ قَبَّلَ مَنْ تُحَرِّكُ شَهْوَتَهُ وَلَمْ يُنْزِلْ لَمْ يَبْطُلْ صَوْمُهُ. قَالَ ابْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ: رَخَّصَ فِى الْقُبْلَةِ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ وَابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ وَأَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ وَعَائِشَةُ وَعَطَاءٌ وَالشَّعْبِى والحسن وأحمد وإسحق، قال: وكان سعد بن أَبِى وَقَّاصٍ رضى الله عنه لَا يَرَى بِالْمُبَاشَرَةِ لِلصَّائِمِ بَأْسًا] Ah.
