Ashraf Muharram, professor of orthopedic surgery at Qasr al-Aini and the treating physician to Hamdi Fathy, confirmed that the Al-Ahly player will start training today, Wednesday, in the gymnasium.
Hamdi Fathi had surgery on his arm after he was injured during his participation with the national team in the Kenya match in the African Nations Cup qualifiers, which was held on March 25th, which ended in a positive draw.
During radio statements for the “With Schubert” program broadcast on “On Sport”, Muharram said: “Hamdi will start training today in the gymnasium. He is allowed to run and deal with the ball, but no contact is allowed at all.”
He added, “The player started moving his arm very well, and we hope that he will return to the stadium within 8 weeks, not 10. He is a hardworking and professional player and I hope that he maintains his health.”
He concluded: “The treatment of a professional player is different from the ordinary citizen, so we preferred to install a chip and screws in order to check on him.”
