A source inside Al-Ahly club confirmed that the position of Mahmoud Kahraba, the Al-Ahly player, to participate in front of Simba, the Tanzanian, has not been decided by the coach of the team, Pitso Mosimane, so far.
“The physical condition of Kahraba will determine his position on returning to the team list in the Simba Tanzanian match,” said the source, who declined to be named in private statements, Leela Kora.
So far, the player participated in a single training session with his teammates since the end of his suspension period, which definitely affected his level and physical fitness.
He explained, that the technical staff led by Pitso Musimani has not settled on the return of Kahraba to participate with the team so far, pointing out that the matter will be resolved according to his physical condition in the collective training that the team competes today, tomorrow and after tomorrow, Thursday.
He pointed out that Musimani is considering relying on substitutes such as Walid Suleiman and Walter Bwalia, while resting some of the essentials, as the match became a foregone conclusion after the two teams qualified for the quarter-finals.
Al-Ahly tied with its Sudanese counterpart, Al-Merrikh, with two goals for each team, so Al-Ahly booked the qualification card for the quarter-finals of the championship that holds its title.
Al-Ahly is preparing to meet Simba, Tanzania, next Friday, in the final round of the African Champions League groups.
It is noteworthy that Al-Ahly qualified for the quarter-finals as runners-up to the first group behind leaders Simba, without considering the results of the last round.
