FIFA issued a statement confirming its total rejection of the idea of establishing the European Super League, describing it as a “closed separatist tournament”, after major European clubs announced their participation in a tournament outside the organization of the European Football Association.
FIFA said in its statement: “Only FIFA can express its rejection of a (closed European separatist league) outside the structures of international football and the failure to respect the principles mentioned above.”

In light of the numerous media requests and as we have mentioned several times, FIFA would like to make it clear that it stands firmly in favor of solidarity in football and a fair redistribution model that can help develop football as a sport, especially at the global level, as the development of football Universality is the core mission of FIFA.
“From our point of view, according to our statutes, any football competition, whether national, regional or global, must always reflect the basic principles of solidarity, inclusiveness, integrity and equitable financial redistribution.
