The committee in charge of managing Zamalek club decided to grant the Egyptian Basketball Federation a deadline. This is to consider the appeal submitted by the Zamalek club against the decisions announced by the Basketball Association following the events of the recent Zamalek and Al-Ahly match.
Zamalek club confirms that it has committed to travel to Alexandria to meet Sporting pending a decision from the union regarding Zamalek’s grievance, but that did not happen, and despite media and public pressure not to play the match, the club’s management has committed to its responsibilities towards Egyptian sports, and not to export a crisis at the present time, it has agreed. To exclude the Sporting match and to play it today, in order to preserve the regularity of the competition and not recognize the fait accompli policy.
The committee also decided to grant a deadline to the Basketball Association for the next match; This is to resolve its decision of Zamalek’s grievance before the escalation, and to take all necessary measures to preserve the rights of the club and that all decisions are contained after the deadline for the return of the right to its owners.
