Al-Muhammadi conducted an interview with “Sada Al-Balad” channel and all of the following was on his lips.
For the captaincy of the Egyptian national team
I am not talking about the captaincy of the national team, the matter is not about the badge but about the influence on the field and in the locker room, and everyone should not talk about the badge, even in the media with every camp for the team, we should think about the World Cup qualifiers and not about who will wear the captaincy.
If I am right to choose who wears the captaincy of the Egyptian national team? I would choose Mohamed Salah because of his great experiences, he plays under great pressure and knows very well how to deal with it. He is the best fit in the elements currently available.
About his exclusion from the national team
I am under the command of the Egyptian national team at any time. My absence is a point of view of the technical staff. Badri may like to rely on those with experience in the coming period, given that we will enter an important and difficult stage in the World Cup qualifiers.
I had no reservations about joining Egypt in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations and it is impossible to think about this.
With Hector Cuper I wasn’t playing at first and then I became a regular at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon, I always respect the coach’s point of view.
Exclusion due to age factor? Perhaps Hossam Al-Badri is considering going down the average age of the national team, but there are players who were older than me or my age and joined.
My exclusion due to Amr Wardas crisis and public anger against me? This is a stage and it has ended. I don’t see that the coach will think of something like this as long as I do well on the field and I have the right to be present. There are many situations that happened before and ended, but Al-Badri is the only one who can answer the reason for my absence.
Amr Wardas crisis could have been better addressed, and everyone has his mistakes and learns from them.
A message to Hossam Al-Badri
Qualifying for the African Nations Cup is a very important thing for the coaching staff, led by Hossam El-Badry and the players.
Everyone criticized the national team after the meeting with Kenya, but from my conversation with Trezeguet, the atmosphere was difficult and there are some players who had their first match in a while with the national team. I see that the most important thing in that match was the official qualification decree and in front of the Comoros Islands they played well and we won the lead.
The coaching staff faced great difficulties due to the outbreak of the Corona virus and the low rate of the team’s gathering, and I think that the coming period will be better and there is a period of preparation before the World Cup qualifiers because they will be held after the end of the season.
My message to Badri? I congratulate him for qualifying for the African Nations Cup.
About the truth about Al-Ahly’s negotiations
My ambition to end my career in the Premier League is to finish my playing years at the highest level.
Al-Ahly is a big club and I am a fan and I love it very much, but my ambition, as I said, is to end my career in the English Premier League, no one has spoken to me about joining Al-Ahly.
After the end of my career I want to work as a coach in England and currently I am getting training courses to achieve that goal.
On Trezeguet’s brilliance with Aston Villa
The first two goals of the season give him great confidence in himself. He works hard and is one of the players who work the most in training and after training as well.
On the possibility of Salah leaving Liverpool
There is nothing better than the Premier League, they have won the title and the Champions League.
I think that his stay with Liverpool is the best thing for him, as he is one of the legends of the club now and if he ends his career with them it will become a wonderful thing, I hope that he will stay because it also causes the shares of Egyptian players to rise.
