Barcelona failed to maintain their 3-0 lead in the first leg at Camp Nou, to lose at Anfield by four.
“We suffered some painful losses in Barcelona, one of the most painful defeats when Barcelona lost 4-0 to Liverpool. It was a difficult loss, but in life you lose more than you gain. Defeat is part of life,” Pique told Catalan TV.
“To win means to achieve something: the victory of an athlete or a victory in your personal life,” he explained.
“My father did not make me obsessed with winning. In football, he never told me that I should win, it was demanding, but there was no commitment to winning, it is easier to know how to win than to lose.”
Pique spoke about his favorite tournament and chose “any champions league because it shines the most, and the World Cup also because it has never happened before.”
Pique won the Champions League 3 times with Barcelona, and the 2010 World Cup with Spain.
Pique indicated his attempt to catch up with Real Madrid in the La Liga Clasico on April 10.
He said: “I will try to play against Real Madrid. I will continue to work day after day.”
He concluded, “I will try to be ready as soon as possible.”
Pique has been absent from Barcelona since the beginning of March due to a sprained knee ligament.
