Erling Haaland – Borussia Dortmund – Manchester City
Michael Zork, CEO of Borussia Dortmund, said several days ago: “I want to say that we are committed to what we plan for next season. We have clear plans for Haaland to be with us next season.”
Raiola responded in the German newspaper “Sport 1” today, Monday: “I can confirm the news that I was in Dortmund for some talks.”
He continued, “Michael Zork assured us that the club does not want to sell Haaland in the upcoming summer transfers, I respect that.”
Before he added, “But this does not mean my approval. Dortmund was clear in his vision, and we are fine with that.”
“There is no war between me and Dortmund,” the Italian players’ agent stressed. “The relationship between us is still good.”
Raiola had clashed several years ago with Dortmund officials after he insisted on moving Henrik Mkhitaryan to Manchester United in the summer of 2016.
According to some press reports, Raiola met with Juan Laporta and Florentino Perez, the presidents of Barcelona and Real Madrid, to prepare Haaland’s transfer to one of the two clubs.
Haaland scored 49 goals in 52 games for Dortmund and made 13 others.
