“Zamalek is a large institution, and we will not withdraw from the summit, but we warn of a catastrophe in light of the current congestion,” Zamalek’s spokesman said in statements to “On Sport FM” today, Thursday.
“We have compassion on the Egyptian rulers and we are in solidarity with them, and we fear for them from that experience that has not been paved before and there is a strange insistence on it,” he said.
Amr Al-Dardir added, “We also reject the possibility of postponing the match because we are fully prepared for it and we hope that the Football Association will listen to us and implement our request to bring in a foreign refereeing team.”
Zamalek had sent an official letter to the Football Association in which he recorded his objection to bringing Egyptian referees to the summit meeting, which will be held next Wednesday and postponed from the fourth round of the league.
FilGoal.com had revealed earlier, that Mahmoud Al-Banna is the closest to managing the summit. (See the details)
