Amir Sayoud, the Algerian youth team star, led his team to achieve a precious victory over the Congolese Mazembe, with two unanswered goals, in the match that came within the accounts of the fifth round of the group stage of the African Champions League competition.
The Algerian champion double came through Amir Saoud in the 84th minute, before Youssef Bouchou scored the second goal in the 86th minute.
Former Al-Ahly player Amir Saoud raised his goal tally in the continental competition to six goals, to sit at the top, beating the duo Seif El-Din Terry, the Al-Merrikh striker and Firas, the top scorer of Sfaxien, where the duo has five goals.
Belouizdad rose to second place in the second group standings table, with 6 points, while Mazembe stopped at two points in last place, as the Congolese champion officially deposited the competition before a round of the end of the group stage.
Youth Belouizdad will go out to face the Sundowns in South Africa, while Mazembe will receive his Sudanese counterpart Al Hilal.
The second group ranking comes as follows: Sundowns (13 points) – CS Belouizdad (six points) – Al-Hilal (five points) – Mazembe (two points).
