I wrote – Samah Muhammad:

Dr. Muhammad Wissam – Secretary of Fatwa at the Egyptian Dar Al Iftaa – said that fasting is a divine command to abstain from breaking the fast, such as eating, drinking, and intercourse during the day in Ramadan, and the Muslim must obey the orders of God Almighty pursuant to the noble hadith on the authority of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him that the Messenger of God He said fasting is a paradise and he does not miss He is not ignorant, and if a man fought him or insulted him, let him say that I fast twice, and the one in whose hand my soul is because of the fear of the mouth of the fasting person is better with God Almighty than the smell of musk leaves his food, drink and desire for the sake of fasting for me, and I reward with it, and the good deed is ten times as much.

Wissam continued, through his answer to the question posed by the journalist Hassan Al-Shazly, “What is the ruling on breaking the fast during intercourse during the day in Ramadan?” Sharia forbidden matters; Because it spoils the fast, and the one who commits this sin has to expiate, by making the spouses fast for that day, and the husband only has to fast 60 consecutive days Because he violated the sanctity of the day in Ramadan and the greatness of the blessed month, and the mufti on this matter is that expiation is for the husband only, and the wife does not have to offer expiation, but if she wants to fast out of disagreement, then she will be rewarded for that, and she is not sinful if she does not fast.

The secretary of the fatwa explained that there is a big difference between nullifying the fast due to intercourse during the day in Ramadan and breaking the fast on intercourse, meaning that if sunset is called for, then the Muslim can enjoy all the things that break the fast, so he may eat and drink, and that his wife comes to the words of God Almighty in verse 187 of Surat Al-Baqarah. On the night of the blissful fasting to your wives.}

The secretary of the fatwa asserted that if the spouses committed the sin of intercourse during the day in Ramadan more than once on the same day, then he must offer one expiation as previously explained, and some scholars said that if the spouses commit this sin more than once in more than one day, then he has to offer separate expiation for each day. Sharpness, but the Mufti with him in Dar Al Iftaa is one penance.

What is the ruling on a husband kissing his wife during the day in Ramadan?

Al-Shazli posed another question to the fatwa secretary, who says: “What is the ruling on a man kissing his wife during the day in Ramadan?” Wissam explained that the ruling in this matter relates to lust, meaning that from kissing what is pleasure and desire, and from kissing what is mercy, compassion and farewell, this matter The latter has nothing in it. It was narrated on the authority of Aisha, may God be pleased with her, who said: “The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, was kissing while he was fasting and was his mother.”

That is why he who finds himself weak must refrain. Because it is “disliked”, and it is possible that it leads to the subsequent intercourse, which is prohibited during the day in Ramadan, citing what Imam Abu Dawud narrated in the Sunnah that a man asked the Prophet about the qiblah for the fasting person and he permitted it, and another asked him in the qiblah for the fasting person who was prevented, The reason for the two persons was that the one who was granted permission by a senior sheikh, and the one who was forbidden by a young man, was the situation that determined the outcome.
