Ahmed Fathy, the player of the Pyramids team, responded to the fact that he entered into a quarrel with his Argentine coach, Rodolfo Aruabarina, after the news that the coach’s desire to leave the player after the end of the season.
Fathi said in statements through a video posted on the official page of “Pyramids”, that he did not enter into a quarrel with his coach, stressing that each party was explaining his point of view, and there was no basis in what was reported.
The 36-year-old continued his remarks, “I played three out of four matches after my return from injury, and it is the right of any player to get upset if he sits on the bench.”
The Pyramids player touched on the Moroccan match of Raja Casablanca, saying: “It is a difficult match and we hope to come out with the winning result, but the Raja team is strong and we do not have any pressure due to the equal number of points with the opponent.”
The Pyramids team is currently preparing to face Moroccan Raja Casablanca, on Sunday, as part of the third round of the group stage of the African Confederation Competition.
The past few hours saw the Pyramids club thinking about dispensing with Ahmed Fathy next summer, at the request of the Argentine coach.
It is worth noting that Ahmed Fathy moved to the ranks of Pyramids at the beginning of the current season from Al-Ahly in a free transfer after the end of his contract with the Red Castle.
