Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Saturday that Western countries should punish people who insult the Prophet Muhammad in the same way it punishes Holocaust deniers.
“I call on Western governments that criminalized negative comments about the Holocaust to use the same criteria to criminalize those who spread messages of hate against Muslims by insulting the Prophet,” he wrote in a tweet.
I also call on Western govts who have outlawed any negative comment on the holocaust to use the same standards to penalise those deliberately spreading their message of hate against Muslims by abusing our Prophet PBUH.

Khan’s comments came after a week that witnessed violent protests in Pakistan organized by the “Pakistan Labbaik Movement”, which was angered by the French government’s support for re-publication of insulting cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad.
Denying the Holocaust is against the law in many European countries, including Germany and France, where the accused face prison sentences.
