Brazilian goalkeeper Marcelo Grohe, Al Ittihad club, praised the capabilities of his Egyptian colleague Ahmed Hegazy, the Saudi team player, stressing that the defensive tactic changed after his arrival.
Hijazi joined Al Ittihad at the beginning of this season on loan from West Bromwich Albion.
During statements to the “In the Goal” program broadcast on Al Arabiya channel, Grohe said: “Happy with what I got to with Al Ittihad club, and I think that the Saudi League is difficult and competitive, and all the clubs have good players and there is no easy match.”
Grohe praised his Egyptian colleague Ahmed Hegazy, saying: “Hegazy is a great player and he returned to the team with benefit from his experience … and defensive tactics changed after his arrival.”
Al-Ittihad is currently ranked third in the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Saudi Professional Cup League table, with 42 points, behind Al-Hilal, the leaders with 48 points, and Al-Shabab, the runner-up, with 45 points.
It is worth noting that Hijazi’s loan to Al-Ittihad will end at the end of June 2021, with the existence of a clause that includes the right to purchase for the Saudi club.
