A source close to Al-Ahly goalkeeper Mohamed El-Shennawi revealed that the player is in good condition and that he may join the summit match against Zamalek.
The sample for the goalkeeper was positive for the Corona virus, to confirm his absence from the Al-Ahly match against Al-Nasr, which is scheduled for Wednesday in the Egyptian Cup matches.
A source close to the player said, through Laila Koras statements, that the goalkeeper will undergo a new medical swab on Tuesday.
The source added that the symptoms that Muhammad al-Shenawi suffers from are mild and there is nothing to worry about.
The source said: “The guard underwent a medical examination yesterday after he was suffering from mild symptoms and it came positive, and there is a new smear today after his condition has relatively improved.”
Al-Ahly is preparing to face Zamalek on April 18 to account for the postponed match from Round 4.
Regarding the chances of Al-Shenawi joining the match, the source concluded: “Al-Shenawi may join the summit match.”
