Tomorrow, Saturday 3 April, world attention will turn to Cairo to follow the events of the mummies transport procession, from the Egyptian Museum to the Museum of Civilization in Fustat.
Followers are awaiting the start of the majestic procession to transport 22 royal mummies through the streets of Cairo, as the procession includes a number of royal mummies dating back to the ages of the seventeenth, eighteenth, and nineteenth and twentieth dynasties, including 18 mummies for kings and 4 mummies for queens, and among the kings «Ramses II Sqnen Ra, Thutmose III, Seti the First, Hatshepsut, Merit Amon, Ahmose and his wife Nefertari ».
The procession is supposed to start at sunset on April 3, and the procession is supposed to take between 40 and 45 minutes, to get from the Egyptian Museum to the Museum of Civilization.

The second museum of civilization includes the oldest mummy of a young man dating back more than 35 thousand years that was discovered in Nazlat Khater in Sohag.
The mummies were fully secured by placing them in capsules and restoring them appropriately, and qualifying for presentation on April 18th. The Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Dr. Khaled Al-Anani said: “The safety of mummies is the first basis before any activity.”
On the future of the Egyptian Museum after the transfer of mummies, the Ministry of Antiquities stated that all royal statues continue in the Egyptian Museum, in addition to 100,000 artifacts, while those wishing to see mummies go to the Museum of Civilization.
A number of artists will participate in the ceremony, including Hend Sabry alongside the artist Yousra, Mona Zaki, the artist Ahmed Helmy, the families of Yassin, and Hussein Fahmy.
Ticket prices for the National Museum of Civilization are divided after the ceremony of the royal mummies transport procession as follows, for an Egyptian citizen it will be 60 pounds, 30 pounds for a student, 200 pounds for a foreigner, and 100 pounds for a foreign student.
While the prices for garages in the National Museum of Civilization are as follows: 30 pounds for a luxury car, 40 pounds for a coaster, and 50 pounds for a bus.
It is worth noting that the transfer of mummies is part of a huge project to develop methods for displaying antiquities, and reorganize their distribution in museums as a result of the increase in their number in the Egyptian Museum, and this came through the official page of the State Ministry of Information.
