Al-Ahly continued their training, Monday evening, at the Mukhtar Touch Stadium on the island, in preparation for the Smouha match in the Egyptian Premier League.
Al-Ahly is preparing to face Smouha next Wednesday as part of the 11th week of the local competition.
Mohamed Al-Shennawi, Al-Ahly goalkeeper, participated in the group training session with the rest of the players after he recovered from the Corona virus, after the result of the swab that the player underwent was negative.
Ayman Ashraf, the Al-Ahly defender, performed solo exercises due to the player suffering from a strain in the posterior muscle after his participation in the match against Zamalek on Sunday.
Dr. Ahmed Abu Abla, head of the Al-Ahly Medical Authority, said that Yasser Ibrahim, the team’s player, will gradually participate in group exercises with the team, starting from Al-Ghad training.
Abu Abla confirmed the improvement of Yasser Ibrahim’s condition during the mini-qualifying program, which he implemented during the recent period, indicating that the player will participate in part of Al-Ghad’s training with the team.
Yasser Ibrahim had complained of a connective muscle injury that kept him from collective participation during the last period, and he is implementing a treatment and rehabilitation program.
Tunisian left-back Ali Maaloul started running around the stadium and implementing some parts of his qualifying program, under the supervision of Tariq Abdel Aziz, a rehabilitation specialist.
Maaloul is implementing a treatment and rehabilitation program after suffering a posterior muscle injury that kept him from participating in group exercises.
Al-Ahly beat Zamalek with two goals to one goal, in the match that brought the two teams together at Cairo Stadium in the postponed round between the two teams from the fourth week of the league.
Al-Ahly scored in the summit match, Mohamed Sharif, while Mahmoud Abdel-Razek Shikabala, the team captain, scored for Zamalek.
It is noteworthy that Al-Ahly ranks second in the league table with 30 points from 12 games, behind Zamalek, the leaders with 33 points from 15 games, while Smouha ranks eighth with 24 points from 17 games.
