The first football team of Al-Ahly club resumed its training, Monday evening, at Mukhtar Al-Tech Stadium, in preparation for the next stage, which begins with facing Al-Nasr in the Egypt Cup.
Al-Ahly players performed a medical swab before the start of the training session that took place this evening at the Touch Stadium, in preparation for facing Al-Nassr in the Egypt Cup.
Al-Ahly had rested last Saturday, according to the agenda of the coaching staff led by South African Pitso Musimane, before resuming his training this evening.
Walter Bwalya, the team player, attended group training exercises held at the touch stadium, after recovering from the stomach pains he suffered and excluded him from participating in the group training session last Saturday.
Bwalya participated in the group training session, which included the physical aspect and ball training, in preparation for the victory scheduled for next Wednesday night in the Egypt Cup.
Hamdi Fathy, the Al-Ahly player, ran around the stadium and carried out some qualifying exercises as part of the treatment and rehabilitation program that he is subject to, in preparation for his return to participate in the group training.
Earlier, Fathi had performed an elbow surgery that kept him out of group training and official matches during the last period, after he was injured with the national team during the qualifying campaign to the African nations.
Fathi underwent rehabilitative training today under the supervision of Tariq Abdel Aziz, the club’s rehabilitation specialist, and included a “gym” session and light training on the field.
Nasser Maher attended group training exercises that were held today, Monday, at the touch stadium, after recovering from the cold that he recently complained about and kept him away from the team’s training last Saturday.
Nasser Maher had only performed rehabilitative exercises last Saturday due to his cold, while today he organized group exercises after recovering and checking on his condition.
It is noteworthy that Al-Ahly closed the CAF Champions League file temporarily after qualifying for the quarter-finals of the first group, and began preparing for the next local confrontations, which begin with Al-Nasr next Wednesday evening in the Egyptian Cup competitions.
