Ahmed Mujahid, head of the tripartite committee that manages the Football Association, confirmed that the agreement was concluded with Portuguese Nilo Vingada to take over the position of technical director of the Football Association, succeeding Mahmoud Saad, the former coach.
Mujahid said in exclusive statements to “Yallakora”, that Vingada has a plan to develop and make a big shift for Egyptian football in the coming years.
He noted that the Football Association found ease in negotiations with Vingada, as neither of the two parties objected to the other’s conditions.
“Our contract with Vingada allows the next council to terminate its contract if it sees that. There is no penalty clause in its contract, but we are confident that Vingada will complete his mission with the next council because of his development plan for Egyptian football,” the tripartite committee chairman added.
He concluded: “For some time, we have been in negotiations with him, and it was agreed that any foreign assistants would need to include them in his work. The Football Association will not bear the costs of any of them.”
