Al-Ahly striker Mohamed Sherif scored two goals against Al-Masry Al-Borseidi, sparking the struggle for the top scorer in the Egyptian Premier League championship after half of the matches of the current edition of the competition 2020/2021 have passed.

Mohamed Sharif opened the scoring in the Al-Masry and Al-Ahly match of the 15th round of the league after 11 minutes, before Al-Masry scored the equalizer before the end of the first half, through Omar Kamal Abdel Wahed.

The 25-year-old returned to score the second personal goal for him and his team in the 64th minute, to put Al-Ahly in the lead again, and the result became (1-2) in the match held at Alexandria Stadium this evening, Tuesday.

Sharif surpassed Youssef Obama, the playmaker of Zamalek, after the Al-Ahly striker scored his ninth goal this season, while Omar Kamal raised his tally to nine goals after visiting Al-Ahly’s net, to rise as well to the top scorer.

Sharif participated as the top scorer with three players with nine goals each, namely: Ahmed Samir Jinnah Talaea Al-Jaysh, Omar Kamal, the Al-Masry striker, and Hossam Hassan, the Smouha striker, whose loan was announced to the Libyan people of Tripoli.

And in the scorers’ struggle is the young player Ahmed Yasser Rayan, Al-Ahly striker loaned to the Ceramica Cleopatra team, where he comes in sixth place behind Samir, Kamal, Hussam, Sharif and Obama with seven goals so far.

It is noteworthy that Mohamed Sharif was in second place in the scorers’ ranking last season 2019/2020 with 14 goals in Enppi, for which he played on loan from Al-Ahly, three goals ahead of leader Abdullah Al-Saeed, the star of Pyramids.
