Major General Khaled Abdel Aal, Governor of Cairo, congratulated the citizens of the capital on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, calling on God to restore it to all with good and safety and to preserve Egypt and its people.
This came during a meeting of the Governorate Executive Council, via “video conference” technology.
Major General Khaled Abdel Aal stressed that the state will implement very firmly precautionary measures to confront the Corona virus during the holy month of Ramadan to protect the health and safety of citizens, especially with regard to the obligation to wear masks in gathering places, with continuous follow-up of mass transit means and immediate fines for violators.
The governor also stressed the need to deal decisively with cafeterias, cafes, and cafes that violate the precautionary and preventive measures, and to continue to follow up on preventing the provision of hookah, applying the imposed fines and closing the violators immediately, with the confiscation of all supplies used in the violation.
Abdel Aal directed the heads of neighborhoods and directors of service directorates to raise the level of readiness to receive the blessed month of Ramadan, calling for intensifying ration campaigns in coordination between the directorates of health, supply and veterinary medicine to pass through markets and commercial stores, and tighten control over mills, municipal bakeries, flour and stove warehouses, places where food and beverages are served, public markets, and inspect goods. Displayed to ensure its powers, adherence to prices, and conformity of the supply of goods to health requirements.
The governor of Cairo stressed the need to follow up on the availability of food supplies and foodstuffs at reduced prices for citizens, especially meat, poultry, rice and Ramadan necessities.
The governor of Cairo also affirmed that commercial activities, malls, restaurants, cafeterias and cafes adhere to the summer opening and closing times of the establishments, starting from April 17, 2021, with an emphasis on adherence to all precautionary and preventive measures.
The governor of Cairo directed to raise the facilities’ preparations throughout the day to face any emergency, especially in service facilities, especially drinking water, electricity, sanitation and health, with intensifying cleaning work and raising occupations, especially around the mosques in which Tarawih prayers will be held and the roads leading to them.
