Ahmed Mujahid, head of the committee in charge of managing the Egyptian Football Association, confirmed that the Egyptian Premier League season will end on September 30th, explaining that player contracts that will expire at the end of June will be discussed case by case.
It is usual for players’ contracts to expire at the end of the season (June 30), but the delay in the start of the season due to the Corona pandemic changed the situation in the world as a whole, and the start dates for local tournaments were delayed.
During statements to “Al-Hadath Al-Youm” channel, Mujahid commented on the matter, saying: “The Egyptian League is scheduled to end on September 30th.”
When asked about player contracts that will expire at the end of June according to the contract concluded with his club, especially Ferjani Sassi, Zamalek player, he said: “All player contracts cases will be resolved case by case, I do not have a political contract, but we have been informed of some names of players that may cause problems because of them due to the delay of the season. We hope that no crises will occur. ”
He completed: “The season ends on September 30th.”
It is worth noting that Sassi joined the ranks of Zamalek during the summer transfer period for the 18/19 season from the Saudi victory, and his contract is scheduled to expire on the 30th of next June.
