Major General Kamel Al Wazir, Minister of Transport, and Major General Abdel Hamid Al Hajjan, Governor of Qalyubia, continued to follow up the repercussions of the Sandanhur train accident from the site of the accident until Sunday evening, and did not leave the scene of the accident even after the breakfast cannon.

A press statement issued by the governorate office said, on Sunday evening, that as soon as the governor learned of the Cairo Mansoura train accident, he immediately went to the site of the accident, and the governor is still accompanied by Major General Kamel the Minister, the Minister of Transport, following the efforts to remove the rubble of the accident.
The Ministry of Health announced the death of 11 people and the injury of 98 others in the Toukh train accident, and 14 cases were discharged from hospitals after providing medical care to them and making sure of their improvement in health, as 60 ambulances were paid to transport the injured to hospitals (Benha Teaching, Qalioub Specialist, Benha Health Insurance, Banha University)
The General Authority for Railways announced that during the passage of the 949 tourist train heading from Cairo to Mansoura, and at 13:54, 4 cars from the train fell at the entrance to the Sandenhor station, and the causes of the accident are being investigated.
A giant winch belonging to the Railways Authority arrived to lift the Toukh train carriages in order to restore traffic again between Cairo and Mansoura. This came after the arrival of Lieutenant General Kamel, the Minister of Transport, and the work of lifting the cars from the rails has already been completed.
For its part, the Public Prosecution and the criminal evidence moved to the scene of the accident to conduct the necessary inspection of the scene of the accident, and prepare the necessary reports about the accident in preparation for the start of investigations by the Public Prosecution.
The ministers of health, higher education, social solidarity and transportation had arrived at the site of the accident to monitor the condition of the injured.
