The data shows the differences in the price of the dollar against the Egyptian pound between the various banks in Egypt, which include the Central Bank, National Bank, Banque Misr and CIB Bank. Prices are witnessing daily fluctuations in the levels of dollar prices in banks.

In a related context, the data showed a decline in the share of the US dollar in global reserves of currencies to the lowest level in 25 years during the last quarter of last year.

Data by the International Monetary Fund showed that the dollar’s ​​share of global reserves fell to 59%, equivalent to $ 7 trillion during the quarter ending last December, compared to 60.5%, or $ 6.93 trillion in the third quarter.

The dollar’s ​​share fell to its lowest level since 1995 when it recorded 58%, but it still possesses the largest share of currency reserves held by global central banks.

The dollar fell by 4% during the fourth quarter of last year, its worst quarterly performance since June of 2017.

The share of the euro, which comes in second place, rose to 21.2% in total international reserves by the end of the fourth quarter, to be the highest since 2014, compared to 20.5% in the previous quarter.

The share of the Japanese yen in international reserves rose to 6.03%, and the share of the Chinese yuan rose 2.25% in the fourth quarter of 2020.

Global reserves rose to a record $ 12.7 trillion in the fourth quarter from $ 12.246 trillion in the third quarter.
