The social media platform Instagram plans to introduce a new feature that will filter offensive comments, according to a report by PhoneArena, as this will be an artificial intelligence tool to help report and block any abusive language use on the platform.
Users will also be able to manually set specific words in the block list. Currently, Instagram has an offensive comment masking tool to help filter language usage, and options can be accessed through the settings from the Privacy sub-section.
As for the new AI algorithm to get rid of “inappropriate” words and other content, it is now subject to the testing phase, and this content is supposed to be sorted and prevented from accessing your feed, and regarding how to choose the offensive words, the report adds that the AI’s ability to find the offending words will depend on Words that are commonly reported on the platform by people on Instagram.
Speaking of new features, the Facebook-owned photo-sharing app launched another TikTok-inspired feature called Remix for Reels, and the new feature works like TikTok Duet and enables users to remix a reel by pairing their video with other users.
